मंडळी, Genesis (New King James Version) मधे वापरलेल्या " For the money has failed." ह्या वाक्याचा मतितार्थ नेमका काय होतो आणि असेच वाक्य का वापरले असावे?

पैशाचे मूल्य गृहित धरले जाते - ती फक्त त्या-त्या काळची मान्यता असते... फक्त एक मान्यताच - बाकी काहीही नाही... एरव्ही ती एक अत्यंत निरूपयोगी गोष्ट आहे..
उद्या रूपया मातीमोल झाला तर इतर देशातल्यासारख्याच इथेही हातगाड्यावर नोटांची बंडले विकायला येऊ शकतात..
अन्नाचे मूल्य पैशांत होत असले तर त्याची वेगळी अशी सत्ता आहे जी सर्व माणसांवर, सर्व परिस्थितीत लागू होते...
कदाचित त्या काळात अशीच परिस्थिती उद्भवली असेल जेव्हा अन्न अत्यंत दुर्मिळ आणि पैसा माकूल झाला असेल..
म्हणून कदाचित " For the money has failed."
असा एक अंदाज... निश्चित तपशील माहित नाहीत

वाळवंटात अन्न उपलब्ध नसेल त्या वेळेस पैसा काहीच करू शकत नाही.

For the money has failed म्हणजे विकत घ्यायला सर्वजण तयार असून विकायला कोणी नाही (विकायला काहीच नाही..) अशी स्थिती.
(कधीमधी याचे छोटेसे उदाहरण शेयर बाजारात बघायला मिळते)
शेतकर्‍यांच्या वर्णनापलीकडल्या भयानक उपेक्षेमुळे जी स्थिती येत्या काही वर्षांत भारतात येणार आहे ती.
ज्यांना शक्य आहे त्यांनी शेतजमीन विकत घेऊन ठेवावी कारण अजून वीस तीस वर्षांनी ज्वारी एक हजार रुपये किलो होईल आणि आपला पगार वीस लाख प्रति महिना होईल, अशा समजुतीत राहणार्‍यां "सेवाविक्रेत्यांनी" ही शक्यता गृहित धरावी की पगार पन्नास लाखही असेल पण ज्वारीच नसेल. ती आपल्यापुरती पिकवू शकेल तो जगेल.

नानबा ह्या विशिष्ठ ओळी विषयी इथे वाचले होते. आता त्यातले कितपत तुझे समाधान करेल ते सांगता येत नाही.

Nothing in this world is "too big to fail." Both countries and companies can collapse. Leaders can fall. Economies can crater. Our most revered institutions can and will one day collapse. No single individual can control his or her own ultimate financial destiny.
What cannot fail? Joshua told the Israelites "Not one thing has failed of all the good things which the LORD your God spoke concerning you" (Joshua 23:14). According to 1 Kings 8:56, "There has not failed one word of all His good promise."
The psalmist said, "My flesh and my heart fail; but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever." The Lord never fails (Isaiah 42:4) nor do His compassions. They fail not, they are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23).
Heaven and earth may pass away, but Jesus never fails.
